Olio Partners with Kno2 to Enhance Care Coordination with Real-Time Record Access
Healthcare in today’s world rarely happens within a single clinic. Providers, payers, and care teams are increasingly responsible for patients as they move between hospitals, primary care, behavioral health and skilled nursing facilities. While patients benefit from receiving care in the right setting, this shift adds complexity for the organizations coordinating that care. Medical records are still created and maintained within individual systems, each with its own workflows, access requirements, and policies. When care crosses organizational boundaries, teams often rely on a cumbersome combination of tools like faxes, phone calls, emails, and system-specific logins to obtain the information they need. These approaches persist because they are trusted, compliant, and widely available, even if they aren’t always efficient. As coordination becomes more real-time and collaborative, the effort required to gather records can slow otherwise well-designed care workflows. The challenge facing providers is finding ways to access information more easily, without creating more friction for the people delivering care.
